Description

It's been a long time since I drew my last Serenity flower! And I don't regret coming back for one more :D (even though it looks quite sloppy...). I made it for the Sun VS Moon Challenge; if you want to take a look, here it is. But hurry up, because the deadline is on June 30th, 2017! Run Away

Hey-o! I'm here from ProjectComment for some comment tag!

My tag-word was 'Pattern', and I chose this because of the fact that it looks like it could be a pretty pattern for a shirt or a pretty patch to put on a pair of jeans.

First off, this is so pretty! I'd honestly love to see a colored version of this on a shirt, or perhaps as a design on a dress. It looks amazing!
However, as you pointed out, it is quite sloppy. The little hearts between the petals are different sizes and shapes, and thus look a little odd. This looks quite strange next to the petals, where the lines are obviously carefully drawn and look well thought out. I would suggest slowing down when adding details and focusing on making them similar to each other, even if only in size. Some of the details in the center of the flower could use a little bit of work as well, even if just a little bit to make it look a little more symmetrical and pleasing to the eye.
The second thing I noticed is that the petals look a little too much like leaves. This is mostly due to the lines looking like veins in a leaf. This may have been done on purpose, but it kind defeats the 'flower' look that you were going for. However, this is supposed to be abstract art, and thus this really may not matter since you weren't going for realistic. It's just a thought.
Just a suggestion for the future, I would love to see some of these with some pretty colors. Maybe try using a couple different colors of pen when coloring these, or perhaps uploading the image to an art program and attempting to add some color there! Using different colors could be used to describe different emotions and feelings in each flower. Either way, I hope that you continue to improve these 'Serenity Flowers', because they are beautiful, and I'm sure will continue to become even more beautiful in the future!
I hope this comment was helpful in some way!
